Hi guys, my name is Cata and I play the guitars in State of Trust, also do most of the music alongside my partner in crime Mircea who was unavailable this time for this chat.
I grew up in a small town – north of Romania in a region called Maramures, there was not much metal activity at the time there, except for some underground bands and some major old-school rock local bands.
I remember I was in high school and I just heard on a rock radio station that Annihilator will have a gig close to my hometown and they will bring some great opening acts such as Nevermore and Soilwork!!! I couldn’t believe it. Me and a bunch of friends grabbed our tickets right away. It was one of the most awesome things that could ever happen to a young metalhead, to see such great musicians in one night (I was already a big fan of Jeff Waters, Jeff Loomis, and Soilwork as well). The journey was amazing as well, we had to take a train to reach the city where the concert was, and guess what???…the train was loaded with metalheads, as well as the city when we arrived. Pretty impressive and epic for a high school metalhead kid…hehe. Jeff Waters was out of this world live, as well as the other guitar players, I remember at some point, Jeff Loomis was riffing some songs only with one hand!
After that night I knew for sure that I want to do the same thing in the future! I am currently playing with the band Silver End (NO), but State Of Trust is a new project that will bring some fresh and awesome music for the melodic metal fans! ;)
Keep up with the band on Facebook, Instagram and Soundcloud.
