Strae – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the electronic pop artist, Strae, lets you know who she would like on her ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

My dream tour would be a show that you can’t look away from… a show that doesn’t allow you to turn to your friend and say, “I’m going to go to the restrooms and see if they have gum.”

Shows, where the performances are visually engaging as well as sonically captivating, are the most memorable for me. I love artists who use lights and props to transform a simple stage into their own alternate universe and then proceed to command their new world with powerful movement like dancing, jumping, climbing and, while we’re at it, lying down on the stage and rolling around… because fun.

I want the audience to be so afraid that they will miss something, that they can’t bring themselves to check their email. I want them to be too enthralled to even frame a picture correctly because they’d rather watch the performances with their own eyes and relish every moment.

As a brand new artist, I’d be happy to open the show, followed by an energetic and intense performance by Bishop Briggs, who I’ve seen several times and who is always vocally solid despite the fact that she’s running all over the stage. Next up would be Christine and the Queens, who has been an inspiration to me as a singer who also trained as a dancer… and to finish off the lineup, and because you said dream, FKA Twigs would headline. I love the artistry in her performances and if she ever lent me pieces from her wardrobe I’d probably die.

It would be a fantastic night of energy, sweat, acceptance, and abolishing female stereotypes… and you would be welcome there.
