My dream tour would consist of two outdoor stages with the shows taking place at night. I like two stages because it gives seamless transitions between acts, once you get the three you’re potentially missing great music by two bands playing at the same time. I like outdoor shows at night so we can still put on a light show and we could add some pyro because what the heck!
Acts would include the band that inspired us to start Sumo Cyco, UK band Skindred. Benji is a fantastic showman and would get the crowd hype right off the bat! We’d move on to up and coming superstars Marmozets keeping with the UK theme. I don’t think I’ve heard a female fronted act I like as much as Marmozets in years. They really pull off the perfect blend of hardcore rock with great melody. Up next is my fav hip hop act Big Boi but let’s throw on Andre 3000 for a few tracks to get some Outkast blowing up the speakers. Big Boi would then bring out Janelle Monae to perform on her track Tightrope. Of course, I would be singing backup for all these bands, or being the hype girl on stage at the very least!
Next we bring out Refused to get us back in rock mode. They would play their entire album “The Shape Of Punk to Come”. I saw them do this live before. It was one of my favourite all time shows.
After that, we have a set by none other than No Doubt. Gwen kills it and plays tons of singles and some of the album tracks from Tragic Kingdom including “The Climb” and “Tragic Kingdom”. We then go from a set from Clutch to Faith No More to Rob Zombie and to close out the show Rage Against the Machine take it home. That sounds like a pretty damn good line-up!
Goodnight!
