Suzie Del Vecchio – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the singer-songwriter, Suzie Del Vecchio, lets you know who she would like on her ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

One of the things I do a lot is think of dream shows. I am always thinking of all the amazing artists out there who have inspired me with their concerts, music, sounds, and performances, and also in every single song I write I imagine different possible collaborators and features. I think its so much fun when more than one artist can participate on a show or a song.

A dream show for me would start off with the DJ legend who inspired me to sing. He has toured with some of the biggest names, from Madonna to U2…and I would love to bring that back on a massive stage! Of course, that would be Paul Oakenfold. He would kick off the show with on of his classic songs, possibly “Southern Sun” or “Somebody Like You,” then be joined on the stage by U2 for an amazing rock-electronic live set. To hear Bono singing on live vocals with Paul Oakenfold spinning on stage would be epic to me. U2 being one of my favorite bands of all time, an electronic remix version of “With Or Without You” would be awesome…

Then from the rock and electronic fire, it would be amazing to have Will.I.Am join the stage with Bono with a futuristic laser light show, Bono being one rock legend voice and then having Will.I.Am…he shines so bright with his lyrics and rap and his dance moves! Him together with Bono and Paul on an amazing electronic rock song with rap…it would be a dream to come in and sing on a featured section and give it some spark of sweet fire alongside such legends. I’m actually dreaming of a collaboration like this to come to life in a song. All three have been pioneers in many different ways and have been iconic figures in music.

So, as Paul keeps spinning we move into deeper beats following Will.I.Am’s performance and let the music play with an amazing dance show that pumps up the audience. Then, we’d break into a piano melody as Adele takes the stage to perform “Someone Like You” and “Rolling in the Deep.” As the latter comes to a close, we head back into a deep beat.

The drum beat syncs into a hot rhythm and out pops Beyonce in one of her signature leather outfits. As she performs some of her hottest hits, she invites me on the stage for a dance performance to one of my favorite songs of hers, “Naughty Girl.” We will light the stage with fire and hot dance moves, and let the audience enjoy full-on dance action. The dance-off will end with a cascade of falling water as we welcome the next and final act….

Paul keeps on the decks as the audience is held in suspense of who or what could possibly come next….and this is a definite dream collaboration I must see….the one and only Eminem arrives on stage joined by the legendary Dr. Dre. We can only dream of what this can sound and look like…I imagine a stage of iconic sounds, and pioneers who each have a sound, story and beat to tell.

As we gear up for a grand finale, we see Paul exit the show with an amazing ending featuring his favorite euphoric beats, joined by all the collaborating artists on the stage with their hands up!

I have to admit that I would love to see this come to life one day, as I find all of these amazing artists to be so talented in their own element and I feel they have the capacity to melt in with each other’s sounds in a flowing melodic show… and, well that would be epic if in my wildest dreams I can find myself magically joining this iconic lineup, as each has been such massive influences on me and in music over the last 3 decades.

As for today, I must say that joining the stage with Paul Oakenfold has been one of the biggest honors ever, and his collaboration on producing my song “After Love” has shown me the meaning of what a deep beat can feel like live onstage!

What I dream of seeing is a groundbreaking electronic DJ-producer like Paul Oakenfold on a massive stage with an ensemble of live instruments, drums, guitars, and the voices AND rhythms of each and every one of these massively talented singers and rappers. Keeping it all within the beat would be mind-blowing.

I think it would be a way of bringing all of these genres together in a very unique way that would mark a revolutionary way of putting on a show with a DJ as part of the main stage act.

Definitely, a dream to see, definitely a dream to be, and only when we see and imagine can we make things happen. We can only manifest what our dreams have in store for us, and that is the magic of music! Now lets take it to the stage!
