Sweater Beats – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the electronic artist, Sweater Beats, shares who would be on his dream tour lineup. You can check out his picks and stream his newest single, “Enemy (featuring Sorana)”, after the break.

Alina Baraz- The tour starts with the queen, Alina Baraz, opening the show. If you don’t know her you’ve been living under a musical rock for at least the last 2 years. Her voice is just so unique and has this quality that can’t be defined, but it’s so welcoming. On my ‘perfect tour’ she would set the tone, getting the whole crowd to just forget everything and listen to the music in front of you. If you can listen to ‘Fantasy’ without being transported to a mystical land I’ll give you a dollar.

Ratatat- Next, we gotta up the energy and bring the noise with Ratatat! This is the group that got me into electronic music & if you ever have a chance to see them live, cancel your plans and do it! Their live sets are always super tight & the fact that they shred on guitar is so cool & a big part of what drew me to their project and music from the get-go. If I had to pick, their set would start with ‘Lex’ or ‘Wild Cat’ & end with an encore of ‘Seventeen Years’.

Timbaland x Missy Elliot- And let’s just end it with a legendary ‘b2b’ performance from two of music’s greats. Honestly, if I could see a list of all my favorite ‘not band’ songs growing up, 97% of them are probably produced by Timbaland. He developed the sound for so many amazing artists and my fav is probably Missy. Just the chance to see them come out on stage and do songs like ‘Get Your Freak On’, ‘Work It’, ‘Gossip Folks’ & ‘The Rain’…I’m crying tears of happiness just thinking about how super sick the set would be.

And maybe you’re asking yourself, ‘Sweater Beats, aren’t you on your own dream tour’ & I would tell you ‘no’! I listen to my music for months at a time while I work on the same song day after day. This is the tour I dream of going to and I hope you’d come along too!
