Bryan Kotsher (Lead Vocals/Guitar) – Definitely Young the Giant. I mean, how often do you hear a voice like that! Not to mention the artistry of their music is just stunning. I would definitely have a fanboy freakout at the opportunity to play some guest lead guitar over “Mind Over Matter” on stage.
Walk the Moon too, without a doubt. The way they write, from the arrangement to lyrics, is just so fun. Their music is so high energy and feel-good you can’t help but get swept up in it. Not to mention the powerhouse of vocal talent between Sameer Gadhia and Nicholas Patricca. A guy can dream, right?
Dylan Sheffler (Bass/Vocals) – Allen Stone has been a big influence on my guitar and bass playing. His smooth rhythm and lyrics matched with that unique voice combine for such a great concert experience. He has a unique ability to keep an audience equally engaged through high and low energy sets. And that’s what it’s all about; having fun with all of the people around you and sharing that connection through music.
Matt Rankin (Drums) – I couldn’t just pick one dream band to tour with. I have two dream bands to tour with for two completely different reasons. Growing up drumming I could not get enough of Travis Barker’s creativity behind the kit. Every time I hear a new song from Blink 182, I specifically listen to find out what new impossible fills Travis will put in their songs. And to top it off, they just put out a new record that blew me away with the way Travis can creatively change a generic 4:4 beat into something amazing. I’ve been a fan of blink since 10 years old and continue today.
My next band is the Foo Fighters. Let’s be honest, Dave Grohl is probably one of the most talented musicians alive today. How he could go from drumming in one of the biggest bands of the 90s to fronting one of the biggest bands now is beyond me. Their tours sell out stadiums all over the world and I have never seen an FF show that let me down. The shit that Dave pulls on stage from including the audience to playing a seemingly random drum solo mid-performance is absolutely sick. If Taller Tales can put on a show even half as good as an FF show, it would be a dream come true.
