Tanners – DREAM TOUR

In a dream world, I would be on tour with David Bowie… but I guess that ship has sadly sailed. Since we’re in the living realm, my dream tour would be opening for Tame Impala, Beach House, and Kali Uchis.

I’ve seen Tame three times in New York City and went home absolutely shattered every single time. Their live show is so carefully crafted and engineered down to every drum sound, vocal effect, sample, and projection. It’s such a perfect representation of the records but also feels like a unique, immersive experience. Those shows made me appreciate the value of having a solid FOH engineer so much more. I started a radio station in high school with my best friends and we played every song off InnerSpeaker which sparked my full-on obsession. Anyone who knows me is well aware that Currents changed my life on a personal and musical level. Long live Kevin Parker!!

Beach House was the first band that made my heart ache (in the best way). Their music assured me that everything was going to be okay. I’ll never forget turning 16 and getting so excited to hop in the car and listen to Teen Dream. I’d take the long way home from school just to get in another song or two. I finally saw them in 2016 at Webster Hall and wept as soon as they played “Take Care.” The stage setup was so perfectly sparse and dreamy. I can’t get the massive disco ball out of my head to this day.

Kali Uchis is quickly becoming the pop-style-queen of my heart. When “Lottery” came out I was finishing an EP for my first artist project, Baby Montana, and the production on that song really changed the way I listen to pop music. I was like, “wow, pop can be fun, cool, AND sonically interesting!!!” I haven’t had the chance to see her live yet, but I’m really hoping to see a show on this upcoming tour. Invite me, babes ⚡️
