Taproot – TOUR TIPS

The rock/alternative band, Taproot, recently wrote us an awesome set of Tour Tips that they recommend people follow when on the road. You can check out the tips after the break.

1. Put socks on your rider and get those fresh socks on after the show. It’ll prolong the life of your shoes and is a courtesy to your fellow bandmates.
2. Know where the nearest clean bathroom is. Often it’s NOT in the venue you’re playing.(Bonus tip: Keep a roll of toilet paper handy. If you need it once, it was worth keeping around)
3. You don’t drive better when you’re drunk and you also don’t play better when you’re drunk. If you must, drink enough to loosen up, but save the shots for after the show.
4. Find something productive to do with your time – working out, online classes, cross-stitching, whatever. There’s a lot of downtime and if you don’t have something productive to do you’ll end up getting really good at Angry Birds or watching every season of Two and a Half Men.
5. Make time for your fans. Not only will this keep them coming back, but you might end up making some really good friends which is always nice to have when traveling around the country.
