A couple of months ago we had the fortune of playing one of the most savage primal and intimidating house shows we’ve ever attended. The reputation of previous parties at this place became so intense that the roommates of the people throwing the party had told them they would not allow anyone in the house (the show was held in the detached garage). Attendees were instructed via the Facebook event page to “pee outside, wear a diaper, anything goes!”. Outside the entrance, you didn’t really know whether you were stepping in rain, beer or urine.
To add fuel to an already roaring fire, it was St. Patrick’s Day and the crowd was twice as sloshed as usual. As soon as we started the first song the garage/venue went into fight club mode. Immediately, beer cans were flown through the air, lights were ripped off the wall by crowd surfers, and the weight of the collective crowd was pushed incessantly back and forth across the room like a pinball.
I almost got my teeth knocked out by the microphone several times as people were flung into it, one friend of ours had his shirt completely ripped up during a fight that he tried to break up, and a PA speaker that was precariously perched on a stool had been launched off and conveniently landed on my beer, exploding in the process. By the end of our set, my guitar pedals and cables were covered in booze, dirt, and possibly urine, we all nearly developed tinnitus, and someone got carried away on a stretcher into an ambulance.
It is without a doubt our favorite show that we have played to date. Here’s a short snippet of video from that night of a fan climbing the rafters on the ceiling

Keep up with the band on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
