The Attic Sleepers – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the folk pop duo, The Attic Sleepers, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Future Islands (Barfod):
I talked with Samuel Herring (front singer of Future Islands) before a show in Berlin once, and he seemed like a cool rat and someone I could easily spend a few months touring with.
It could be cool to go on tour with them, mostly because it would be such a dream come true to go on tour with a band like theirs, but also to get a closer look at how he (Sam) prepares himself before a show, and how he cools down after a show – I mean that man hits himself like a gorilla on stage – I wonder how many fractured ribs he ends up with after a 6 month world tour!
The way they perform live and the way they manage to include some heavy growling in their melodic and warm pop music is really fascinating to me.
To be their warm-up band for a 10-12 month tour, man, I don’t think I could ask for more right at this moment.
Nine Inch Nails (Barfod):
The energy outlet they have in a live show is completely insane – so much aggression and so much intensity and in the same time so much melody and harmony.
I would die to just stand in the background of one of their shows; even just playing the triangle could be awesome.
NIN was one of my biggest inspirations growing up and I used to download their live-shows with my 56K modem. It would take at least 1 day to download a full concert, but it was amazing to just sit and watch them play and daydream about being on tour with them, sleeping in a big tour bus and just getting fucked up every night. They are most definitely one of the reasons I started playing the electric guitar.
Sigur Ros (Knigge):
I can’t imagine a better support gig than opening for Sigur Ros. I’ve been a huge fan of their music and the universe they create with their music for many years. I’ve seen them live four times so far and they have delivered every time, which is why I’m going to see them again this fall, and I can’t wait. Their concert at Roskilde Festival 2006 was absolutely magical and is to this date still the best concert I’ve ever witnessed, and I honestly don’t think I’ve managed to keep my eyes dry during a Sigur Ros concert yet. The emotions they convey through their music and especially their live shows are incomparable in my opinion and have always been something that I’ve dreamed of being able to do myself. Having the privilege to open for them night after night and afterward go watch them live, would be a dream come true. Also, they seem to have a very attentive and devoted audience that I would love to get the chance to perform in front of.

Keep up with the duo on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
