The Dangerous Summer 2012 Holiday Tour – REVIEW

We had the awesome opportunity to check out The Dangerous Summer’s “2012 Holiday Tour” with support from Young London. You can check out the review after the break.

I had seen The Dangerous Summer a handful of times and I knew I wouldn’t miss another chance to see them live again. Along with them on this tour was a band from Boston, Massachusetts called Young London. I was unfamiliar with them, but I was in for a surprise when they hit the stage.

Young London came on with a huge rush of energy that filled the room. Their music was very upbeat and had the room off their feet and dancing. They even had their own spectacular light show with disco balls and strobe lights on stage with them. I found myself bobbing my head and tapping my feet to their entire set. The band had both a female and male vocalist and I thought they both complimented each others’  voice very well. Towards the end of their set, they had played a cover of a classic song, “I Want Something Else” by Third Eye Blind. They did an extremely awesome cover of this song as they fed off the energy of the crowd, as everyone was dancing and singing as loud as they could. Young London was incredibly entertaining and a pleasure to listen to, if you ever get a chance to catch them live, I highly advise you do so!

Next, was The Dangerous Summer. They had opened up with an immense amount of energy from the crowd. As Aj sang the first few lines, I could see almost the entire crowd singing along with him. You could tell that they were all hooked on every word that came out of his mouth. I had also noticed that two members of the band were new and they had brought more energy to the band. Their stage presence was incredible, they all played and sang with so much passion. Some of the songs they played included recognizable ones, such as, “War Paint”, “Where I Want To Be”, “Work In Progress”, and “The Permanent Rain”. It’s always an experience seeing The Dangerous Summer live. Their honest songs and honest lyrics just suck you in from the start and they are definitely a band to catch live at least once.

Overall, I enjoyed this show. I had gotten a chance to see The Dangerous Summer live once again and at the same time, walk out with a new band I had enjoyed as well. These are two great bands and hope to see them touring again together in the future!
