The Devastated – 1st ROAD BLOG from thier “The Insurrection Tour” feat. Molotov Solution

The Devastated is on their current tour called “The Insurrection Tour” with Molotov Solution and Fit for an Autopsy. While on the road they will be writing periodic blogs for us. The first one can be read after the break!

9/27/11 – Today we left for the “Insurrection Tour” with our buddies in Molotov Solution and Fit for an Autopsy. Feels great to be back on the road and spreading the word of The Devastated and the forthcoming debut album. We met up with the Molotov guys in their home town Las Vegas nice and early… About 1:00 in the morning. Time to pull an all-nighter and head out for our first show in Ogden, Utah.

9/28/11 – Gotta love the endless amounts of Mormon temples driving through Utah. The weather is beautiful today. Got to the venue and had to deal with all the lovely “first show of tour” shit. Counting merch, dialing in our rigs, etc. Small stage tonight but we made the fucker work and made good use of the floor. Catering tonight was sandwiches which beats the low grade “italian” food that you usually get as an up-and-coming band. Fully back it. Beer and Alcohol is extremely shot in Utah (sorry folks). 2% in beer!? It’s like, come on, you get full before you get drunk…We ended up not even wasting our time, but it was an overall fun show. Met some cool cats, and dudes were thrashing shit up for us. Not bad for The Devastated’s first time to Utah. Not bad at all.

9/29/11 – I’m fucking sore. We drove for a few hours last night then pulled off and slept at a truck stop till the sun came back up (that’s a pretty normal occurrence for us at this point). Once we got into Wyoming, we stopped at a gas station to fuel up, and let me tell you, holy fucking liquor store for a gas station!!! It definitely made up for the lack thereof in Utah. We found alcoholic whip cream in a fucking can!!! How badass. We had no idea it existed—you know we had to grab a can (there is a new definition for “whip-it’s” in our camp). Tonight we are in Cheyenne, WY and it’s our first time here. Really good turn-out so far. Ate some catering—some pasta and red sauce with vegan meat…Which I had no idea was vegan till Eric informed me (misleading vegetarians). Never-the-less it was good, and we are always grateful to be fed. Well, time to warm up and rock this fucker.
