The Drama State – TOUR TIPS

This new set of Tour Tips was written by the pop/rock band, The Drama State. You can check out their give tips on how to tour after the break.

1. Your Vehicle is Your Life Blood: No van. No tour. Keep up with maintenance on your vehicle. An oil change may not seem like a big deal, but it will be when your engine blows in the middle of Nebraska.
2. Keep Posi, Stay Healthy: Carry a positive attitude on the road. Set goals, and have realistic expectations about what you will gain and lose from tour. Also, eat what you can, when you can, and don’t forget about the vitamins!
3. Your Friends Are All You Have: If you’re in an unfamiliar area alone, don’t risk getting mugged or beat up because you have rock n’ roll written on your face. Travel in packs. Keep your dudes’ heads held high. Discuss problems as they come. The road ain’t easy and your bound to have issues, but he clearer the air – the better the time!
4. Budget – Always know what you have, what you’re spending, and what you’re making. There is no such thing as counting money too much. Don’t be wasteful, Applebee’s is rad, but it’s not a luxury you can always afford. Use grocery stores, cut per-diems, and stack your bills!
5. Rock N’ Roll Restroom: LAST BUT NOT LEAST – always, always, always pack extra toilet paper! Venue restrooms are like a box of chocolates, ya never know what you’re gonna get. (More times than not, they won’t have any, and if you’re nowhere near a restroom without TP.. that’s when the panic really sets in.)
