Building a perfect tour is a true art form. Our favorite artists are those who create catchy pop songs for the record and deliver a fresh take on those tunes with a live band from the stage. For that reason, our dream tour lineup would be us, Jon Bellion, and Bruno Mars, with Khruangbin playing the after party at a jazz club.
Jon Bellion has mastered the art of writing urban pop tracks and turning them into an unforgettable live show that uses real players to get every audience dancing from start to finish. With writing credit on songs like “Monster” by Eminem and Rihanna, and “Trumpets” by Jason Derulo it is no secret Bellion is a seasoned veteran when it comes to writing memorable melodies with massive commercial appeal. He closes every show with a full band arrangement of “Jim Morrison” that consistently has fans losing their minds.
Bruno Mars is without question the king of writing chart-topping pop songs that make you tap your foot from the first downbeat. His live show features world-class musicians that consistently deliver a performance that you can’t help but feel is once-in-a-lifetime. The masterful arrangement of consecutive hits, funky beats, and out-of-this-world vocals would have every audience picking their jaws up off the floor at the end of the night.
After a long night of dancing and singing pop hooks at the top of our lungs, we would make our way to a dimly lit club to unwind with a nice glass of whiskey and a smooth set from Khruangbin. The Texas trio’s pocketed grooves, hypnotizing guitar, and trance-like vocals would create the perfect change of pace to conclude a night filled with energetic ear-worms that persuade your body to never stop moving.
