The Scutches – 3rd ROAD BLOG from their “Summer Tour 2012”

Pop, punk band,The Scutches, is on their 2012 Summer Tour. While on tour they will be writing periodic blogs for us. The third one can be read after the break.

It’s been a busy last few days since our last update. We played the New Dodge Lounge in Michigan with our good friends the McFlys and the Randy Bastards. All bands played a great set. It was great seeing and staying with our friends Amanda and Dale of the Randy Bastards and the McFlys. The next morning Amanda made us a pancake breakfast and we got to hang with their cool dogs Boris and Zira. Vin recorded some vocal and guitar tracks for Dale’s side project the Panic Beats.

Once the tracks were done we said our goodbyes to Dale and Amanda then headed to Chicago to play two shows with the Kobanes. The first night at the Cobra Lounge, the second at the Liar’s Club. Both nights we spent at “Giomi’s” house who is a  friend of the Kobanes. We got to meet his mother, Dale. We spent some time talking with Dale about her art. She was a very nice woman. What’s with all the nice people named Dale on this trip? Before our gig at Liars Club last night we spent some time in and around Chicago. Saw some sights, ate some deep dish, and took some time to record some video for our Canadian friends since we didn’t make it there. We’re en route to Lima Ohio to play with the Bricktops at Avalon Bar. Looking forward to another show. More updates to come in a few days.
