The Venetia Fair – 2nd ROAD BLOG from their “Summer Tour 2011”

The Venetia Fair is on their 2011 summer tour with Composure and Young English. While on tour they will be writing periodic blogs for us. The second one can be read after the break!

Hey gangs!  This is tour update number two, being that it comes after the first one and before the third.  We’ve had three shows since the last update.

The first show was at The Canvas Clash in Boonton NJ.  This place is literally the place with the most parking rules ever.  Load in is awful.  We parked the van on the street, which wasn’t wide enough for our van as it is, and loaded our gear across a busy street and up a hill.  The show was decent.  A couple of really good bands played with us.  Check out Young English and The Composure.  Cool dudes and great jams.

Aside from the shitty load in, and parking laws, the show went smoothly.  The saving grace of the day was the Chinese food place down the street.  $4.25 for a huge plate of food.  Like I will eat anything if it is that much food for that much money.  Andy and I had a great meal together.  Mr. Chark ate with us but he didn’t get the deal that we did.  It was fine.  The sub shop across the street has nothing on this Chinese food place.  Yeah, Don’s subs I’m talkin to you… you’re shit.

After the show typical tour stuff happened.  Hung out a little… talked about the upcoming storm wreaking havoc on the east coast that we were driving into and figuring out how to attach a sail to our van for it.  Mike, a friend names Ami and an English Nadia and myself went to a bar.  It was the brightest bar and I tried to convince the bartender that I was 18.  Oh, and then I licked a buncha pavement and old cigarettes cause Ben asked me to.

Next day was in Binghamton NY.  We all showed up drunk.  I took a nap under the van.  We hung out a lot before we played.  Not too much happened.  We all got yelled at for peeing at the same time.  They said we werent’ allowed to pee outside.  Mr. Chark peed between my legs while I was peeing.  And Mike peed between Mr. Chark’s legs while he was peeing between my legs while I was peeing.

Show went well.  Composure and Young English played again.  Good.  After the show we went to a girls house where we wrote a buncha mean things about people on a wall.  They’ll see it later.  Mr. Chark peed in a cup and on Chris’s hands, then drank his pee until he threw up in the cup of pee, then drank that.  Chris had a boner the entire night that we all saw.  Andy was distraught the whole night because someone called him a pussy at a gas station.  During all of this I just watched Tom Hanks on tv.  After this we went to bed.  Mike and Mr. Chark slept naked together in bottom bunk in the van while I was driving.  They were worried that if we got in an accident people would think they were doing gay things, but they weren’t.

Next day was in New Castle PA.   We showed up late and drunk.  Our devoted and lovable fans brought us burgers and things to eat.  It was wonderful.  The burgers were good, but made Mr. Chark and I shit forever and it was really stinky.  Chris was scootering and we decided to throw apples at him.  Venue security didn’t like that.  Venue security didn’t like a lot of the things we did.  The promoter all pissed us off at different times, but he was a good dude and we decided hes good.  We joked around with him a lot, and had a wonderful time.

That night we hung out in a Walmart parking lot.  I made everyone that was awake eat 3 ice cream sandwiches, cause thats just something i do with ice cream sandwiches.  Chris was wasted and slept on the pavement for awhile.

Next update soon.  We got 2 days off so we’re gonna do some stupid things.  Ben is really stressed out because he finished ‘The Wire’ and now has nothing to do.  I believe that hes started re-watching it, but things aren’t the same.  We have to find something for Ben to do because he can’t occupy himself like the rest of us do with alcohol.  Speaking of, we’re gonna try to filter cheap vodka with a Brita filter.
