The Zealots – TOUR TIPS

In this Tour Tips segment, the rock band, The Zealots, give you their tips for being on tour. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Tip 1: When on the road we found it hard to know when we would get another chance to shower. After a while, we realized a few of us had YMCA memberships and they’re honored all over the country. Showers, workout, and the ability to relax before we head to the venue. The song YMCA takes on a whole new meaning!

Tip 2: Camping over hotels. We did a lot of camping because it was much cheaper than a room. We still don’t get ac or some of the luxuries associated with a hotel (obviously). However, if you look for the right ones they will have nice showers and laundry rooms. The hiking, swimming in lakes, and actual camping are the cherries on top.

Tip 3: Bring socks and underwear. Like all the socks and underwear you have. Need we say more?

Tip 4: Before hitting the road most people don’t think d about the cons as much. Flat tires, breakdowns, and Murphy’s law are unfortunately reality. Tire plug kits and spare tires are necessary anything else you can bring to be prepared for a breakdown just helps your future self when the inevitable happens.

Tip 5: Always have fun. Some things between bandmates or breakdowns can make it hard to fully enjoy yourself. At the end of the day, we do this because we love it! We enjoy doing it and when that core value is missing things can get disheartening.
