In this Dream Tour segment, the indie folk artist, Thomas LaVine, reveals who he would want on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.
There are tons of artists that could make a tour a dream for me, but it would it be a complete out of body experience for me to tour with Noah Gundersen. It’s not the crazy Rolling Stones or Beatles dream that many have, but I have always connected with his music on such a level that he can hit a place in me that no one else can get to. I imagine the tour being full of incredible conversation and music, and I would just be a sponge soaking it up and learning what I could from such a legend.
Shows are the easy part of touring, but it’s far from what takes the majority of the time. Planning, driving, managing equipment, communications, and a myriad of other things are on an artist’s plate when they tour. The people are what make the load a bit lighter. Touring with someone who is a complete master of the craft would be life-giving, and that much more when it’s someone you’ve listened to for years.
Who wouldn’t want to go on tour with their biggest musical influences? For me, Gundersen has given language to things that are difficult to articulate like existence, God, sex, romance, and humanity. Real human experience, and I think the experience touring with him would be invaluable.
