In this Dream Tour segment, the dream pop band, Tourists, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.
Warpaint – We are all pretty obsessed with Warpaint – their latest album was a masterpiece. We saw them live a few months back and it was insane. They are the coolest band, so authentic and original and totally in love with the music they make. You can feel that when you watch them. Emily’s voice is incredible and Stella has to be one of the most talented drummers around.
Froth – Their last album Bleak blew me away. Fast energetic krautrock mixed with a lo-fi garage sound. For me, they’re one of the best bands around right now.
Beach House – I go through phases of listening to Beach House for weeks on end. They create a unique and blissful soundscape with reverb-drenched organs and guitar that is minimal but so powerful and transcendent at the same time. I saw them at Primavera festival in front of this huge back-drop of stars and it was one of the most beautiful sets I’ve ever seen.
DIIV – Such an exciting band to see live. Their energy is above and beyond, and Cole has that knack for writing really catchy hooks and finding notes that make you feel every emotion.
Preoccupations – Interesting dark post-punk which is captivating and always unpredictable. Pummelling drums and driving bass are complemented perfectly by glistening and shimmering guitar hooks. Historically we’ve been big fans of this band (i.e. in their other incarnations Women, Viet Cong) and they just keep getting better.
