This week, we took up residency in Florida.
When we weren’t soaking up the rays of the sun or enjoying the surf and sand, we were also playing some amazing shows. First up was the venue Bombshells in Orlando. The atmosphere inside the bar was fantastic, the restrooms clean, and the beers ice cold. And one dollar. ONE. SINGLE. DOLLAR.
My favorite part of this night were all the familiar faces in Orlando. Our friends and family Sent from my iPhone
The show was very, very, LOUD.
Afterwards, we had a couple of beautiful days off spent with our friends. We spent most of Saturday knee deep in sunshine and laundry. We kicked back, reminisced on our past tour experiences, fired up some Netflix, jammed some guitar, and found 32 oz. cans of Miller High Life. These cans were both impressive in size and economical in price. Two for $3. God bless the South.
Sunday was spent at Will’s Pub for a sweet live music/BBQ festival. We met up with none other than the lovely Beebs from Beebs & Her Moneymakers, whom we have become great friends with over the years. She went out of her way to keep us full of food and drink and make sure we had a lovely time. We also got to hang with some of our other Warped Tour homies there, so in many ways, these past Florida dates have been a large family reunion.
After spending a majority of the morning catching up on Wrestlemania, we invaded Jacksonville for what I believe, so far, to be the best show of the tour. The sound was amazing, the crowd was very responsive, the drinks complimentary, and the bands were spot on from open to close. Over the years, I have spent many a show without a drum monitor, so it is always a real treat when the onstage sound is perfect. Also, even more friends and family came out to enjoy the night with us, which we topped off with the most righteous amount of Cajun french fries from a local late night restaurant.
Florida, thank you for being so sweet to your boys. We love you and will see you soon.
Tonight, we head to Hotlanta. I’m hoping to meet Ludacris.
