Vacances – DREAM TOUR

Dream tours are something I think about constantly. Whether I’m at home listening to bands that influenced me musically or I’m talking with the team behind the scenes about bands I’d love to hit the road with. Vacances being a new project hasn’t had much touring, but throughout my career playing music I’ve been all over and it’s one my favorite things to do. Nothing can ever replace playing live.

Growing up I was a huge Green Day fan so doing anything with them would be a dream come true. Even if we were just on a festival lineup or secret show with them it would be a dream come true. That being said, if I was going to be realistic I’d love to hit the road with our friends Day Wave as I think we’d be a great fit and we both have that Bay Area tie-in. Additionally, bands like The Drums, Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, Twin Shadows, Future Islands etc. are all bands I’d love to open for. We’re constantly pitching for tours and have been lucky to play w/ Hunger Valentine, Shiny Toy Guns, and recently Avec Sans. So, we’re always on the lookout!

Looking at some of the more nostalgic tours that have been coming out lately I’d love nothing more than to hit the road with some of my favorites New Order, Depeche Mode, and Duran Duran. Imagining them all on tour together and me being able to open the night gives me chills.
