Weslynn – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the indie rock band, Weslynn, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Jared Geyer – Lead Vocalist
One of my all-time favorite bands would have to be OneRepublic. It would definitely be surreal to be on tour with them. Ryan Tedder’s songwriting skills are some of the best in the industry. We definitely look to them as an inspiration for our music. My ultimate dream would be to do a world tour with them, being able to bounce around song ideas with them would be a dream come true for us, but probably a nightmare for them!

Another one of my top inspirations would be The 1975. Their style and sound have changed mainstream music. They have such a unique songwriting style and their live performance is definitely one to be seen! Matt Healy keeps the term “rock star” alive with every performance. A UK tour with them would be on the top of our list.

Of course, we have a list of other artists that we’d love to tour with; The Arctic Monkeys, LANY, Switchfoot, Parachute, The Royal Concept, Colony House, St. Lucia, CRUISR, and so many more!

Greg Olin – Guitarist
I always dream big. I would love to hit the road with the boys from The Arctic Monkeys. I’ve spent hours and hours watching live videos of their concerts across the world. I am always blown away with their performance and the originality of the shows. There is nothing like it. The stage presence Alex Turner has is unparalleled and he commands the audience’s attention. I have caught myself mimicking some of his mannerisms myself. Personally, I feel like jumping on a few shows on a tour of the Southwest would be an amazing opportunity for me to learn more first-hand and to get Weslynn’s music in front of a large group of people not too far from our home in Phoenix, AZ.

Another amazing band I would love to share the stage with would be The 1975. I went to their show here in my hometown and was blown away. I felt so inspired seeing how much they put into their live show; the lights, movement, and sound are unparalleled. Getting to see Matt Healy strut up and down the stage while burning Benson cigarettes is always a plus.

Kevin Holmes – Drummer
My dream tour would be with The 1975. I really respect the artistry and production value that The 1975 puts into their live show. It would be an opportunity to perform and connect with fans on a completely different level. I’d also like to go on a national tour with Augustana. Weslynn was heavily influenced by Augustana during the initial formation of the band. It would feel like we had come full circle if we were able to join them on a tour.

Adam Simons – Guitarist
There are a ton of artists that I’d love to go on tour with, but one in particular right now would be The 1975. I’m such a big fan of their music and their vibe. It would be surreal to play a show with them and probably very intimidating! They seem like genuine guys and I’d love a chat with them here and there. Another artist that I’d love to tour with would be John Mayer. He’s probably my favorite musician of all time. I’ve been so influenced by his music and guitar playing that it’s one of my bucket list dreams to be able to meet him and play with him onstage. In reality, I would probably be too nervous to even say anything, but here’s hoping I could hold my own!
