My dream festival lineup could probably be described as somewhat of a soul extravaganza! The headliner would undoubtedly have to be the one the only Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. She is my number one fave singer and biggest inspiration that I WISH I could’ve seen while she was alive. Playing a beautiful set as the sun goes down would be Ray Charles, my Dad, and Brother were huge fans and introduced me to his music at a young age, and hearing his voice and music live would be a dream.

I recently supported Allen Stone on his Australian tour and seeing just how amazing he and his band are live I’d have to have them join. I want to rep Australia a little bit so I’d have to add Hiatus Kaiyote, Nai Palm is a force and they are all masters of their craft who’d bring the future side of soul to the festival. I’m dying to see Lianne La Havas again live, her stunning vocals and beautiful songs would fit in perfectly. I don’t think I could do a soul lineup with all these amazing singers and not have Jazmine Sullivan on it. She is one of my current fave singers and blows me away whenever I hear her voice.. full body tingles! I think that after listing all these badass singers I may as well just go the whole hog and book Beyonce too! I’m a long-time B stan and having her join this festival lineup would be the ultimate cherry on top!
