Yousei Teikoku – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the heavy metal band, Yousei Teikoku, shares one of their stories from being on the road. You can check out the story, after the break.

Hello everyone, reading this article. I am Empress Yui from Yousei Teikoku speaking on behalf of my contingent of bandmates. It was indeed when we had our first show in The States. In 2005, it was at a convention held in Long Beach, California. The stage we performed on was quiet like a cosplay space. We did not perform raw instruments but had to perform with only the music coming out from a CD. When we went on the stage to perform, there were only about 5 audiences that were actually watching us. I really did not expect that, where it was quite disappointing and honestly a portion of me was depressed. We were able to deliver our best to those who watched us, but ever since that show, the band and I had promised to ourselves that we will deliver the greatest performance on all of our stage in any type of environment we may encounter.

Another time, this may not be quite crazy, but I completely lost my voice on our long tour. My heart was restless as I had worried if I can sing at all at the remaining shows. Also, I wear high heels at our concert lives, so my heart is simply nervous while I walk about the stairs on the stage and front stand (laugh).
