YVR – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the pop duo, YVR, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.

Growing up was a different experience for both of us.

Stephen grew up in a family surrounded by music, especially classic rock. His musical influences were rock bands from the 70’s and 80’s as well as The Offspring, Korn, and Sevendust. This is why there is a rock influence in our live set even though our music is pop. I (Courtney) grew up in a non-musical household and didn’t really discover my love for music or singing until the age of 15, which came from playing guitar after school every day with a high school crush of mine. As time passed, I gained a deep love for artists such as Etta James, Aretha Franklin, and Christina Aguilera. Between the two of us and our background of musical influences, we have written a produced a lot of different types of songs over the years.

Even though we have been studio rats for the past 7 years, we are performers at heart and can’t wait to tour the world! A dream tour for us would be to drive all around the US for 4-5 months with artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Ellie Goulding or OneRepublic.

However, it would also be fun to tour the world with other emerging artists! We have a lot of friends who are artists themselves and it would be an absolute blast to tour with them! Artists such as The Bad Dreamers, Sleeping Lion, and Dysplay. There’s nothing more exciting than traveling, music and good friends. So the 3 together would be a dream!
