Z a c k y – FIRST CONCERT EVER

My first concert ever was seeing Rise Against in high school. I had just gotten really into punk rock and it was my best friend’s birthday coming up. So another friend and I surprised him with tickets the day of the concert, while he was home sick with the flu.
When we got to the show, we tried sneaking into the GA area. Maybe if we had played it a little more cool it would have been fine, but we definitely stuck out while walking towards the stage. After about 30 seconds, we got in trouble and were escorted off the floor area. With our egos a little deflated, we found our seats, which were much higher up in the stadium then we had realized.
After a few opening bands, Rise Against started playing and we were giddy because we knew every word to every song. All three of us were singing along with everyone around us and screaming at the top of our lungs. When they played my favorite song at the time, “Savior,” I was singing out the lyrics so loud that my throat started hurting. But it didn’t matter because it was so fun. The next day at school, all of us had lost our voices and couldn’t speak in class. It was great! Haha.
