One of our most memorable and treasured tour experiences took place in Vancouver for Levitation Fest. We played a great show at The Cobalt, with our good friends White Poppy, and L.A. Witch. After, and a few drinks later, we walked backstage to say our goodbyes and thank you’s, when he whom will not be named approached Liv, explaining he had just dosed one of her brothers with LSD and that they had 25 minutes before the drugs took hold. Not only that, he was driving.
Making our way miraculously, to a strip club 7 stories above beautiful downtown Vancouver. The car ride felt more like a rocket launch than it did a nightly drive. Strobe lights, spandex, and confetti filled the room. A very talented dancer dangled from the ceiling in her silver ring. The member who was dosed looked over with black shark-like eyes and mentioned that a small African child was in his head and had jellyfish tentacles protruding from his stomach and was crying porcelain tears. “Just warn be before the sun comes up.” He said. “Make sure I am NOT OUTSIDE when the sun comes out.”
We befriended some locals and they invited us back to their place to party and watch the sunrise from their rooftop. All we remember after that was stumbling into our motel room. We watched some bad tv and tried to fall asleep, all of us shared a room.
Gabe and Noa were awakened by Blues naked, sleepwalking and grabbing at his chest muttering “I can’t… I can’t.” The two of them went into an immediate panic, thinking they were gonna have to bring their naked friend to a foreign emergency room. Starring them dead in the eye he came to, “Wait. am I.. am I still dreaming?” ” Am I here. like, right now?” “Yes.” We said. “And your completely naked.” “Oh.” Blues said laughing and crawled back into bed.”
