Getting to play and tour is pretty much a dream to begin with, so getting to add any artist into the mix is incredible. My brother and writing partner Chris and I feel that any dream tour would be incomplete without Led Zeppelin on the lineup. I mean, come on. It doesn’t get any more rock and roll than that. Robert Plant is an absolute beast, and I know Chris would die if he got the chance to see Jimmy Page tear it up night after night.
Second, I think Madonna would be amazing to tour with. She’s one of the most epic divas in music history, and I mean that in a good way. Not only is she a great artist, but also a great performer; watching her own it every evening with her limitless energy and personality would be beyond inspirational.
Third, Queen. As far as rock songwriting goes, nobody touches Queen. Period. Freddie Mercury will always remain one of the most amazing vocalist-frontmen ever to grace planet Earth with his godlike vocal style and no-holds-barred attitude.
And finally, for both Chris and I, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals would have to be on the ticket. Have to! Grace is my idol. She’s a rock goddess, and her band is awesome. I can picture it now: the encore could be an epic medley of Stairway to Heaven, Vogue, Somebody to Love, and Paris. Robert and Freddie could harmonize. Madonna and Grace could rock a diva strut side-by-side. And I would be willing to do anything just to share the stage with the stars.
