Before shows I try to warm my voice up the best I can. I’ll listen to some of my favorite heavy bands to get myself ready. Next comes “Suit Up” time, as I call it. I’ll put my bloody show pants on and my bloody show shirt or vest depending on how I’m feeling that night. I’ll pace around the dressing room for a bit to get loose, then I apply the make-up on my face and other areas of my body; neck, arms, hands. The make-up is a combo of black and red. Then I apply the thick blood to areas of my face, head, and arms – this blood is super sticky and has a nice effect. Then comes the mask. Once I put it on, there’s no coming off until after the set. The last part of the step is right before taking the stage – I’ll splash a nice amount of “drippy” blood to my head and let it run down my mask .. final step… Show time!
