Neshiima – PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, the metal band, Neshiima, shares what they do before every show. You can check out their rituals, after the break.

Pre-show we tend to be pretty chilled out and try and investigate our surroundings. For Craig and Calum in particular – time is spent looking around the venue to see what fixtures are safe for them to stand or climb on! They spend more time off than on stage at some shows…

Most of our show preparation is spent ensuring our sound is right. With so many channels covering 3 vocals, all the instruments and samples, getting the sound right on the night is paramount.

I’m sure most bands will say the same, but we always like to say hello and get to know the other bands on the bill – whether we are headlining or we are the support. It’s always fun to make new friends. As a relatively new band, networking outside your own areas is a must!

Getting personal – you’ll find Liam chatting to anyone and everyone around the venue before doors open. Andrew will be sitting somewhere with his guitar quietly playing anything from Billy Talent to Gojira (true story). Calum will likely be taking in the surroundings in and outside the venue. Danny will be trying to get a signal on his phone to update the band’s social media and Craig will likely be at the bar ordering a pint!
