My dream tour would consist of some of my favorite classical crossover artists, and I would also love to be a part of this tour myself:
2Cellos – These guys are incredible musicians and performers. They have so much energy and do a great job of getting the audience excited and engaged. They do a lot of high energy rock covers, but they balance it well with some really beautiful slow songs mixed into their sets. They always look like they’re having the best time on stage and love what they’re doing so I always find them to be really inspiring to watch.
The Piano Guys – I’ve unfortunately never had the chance to meet these guys yet, even though I’ve been watching them for years, but I have some friends who personally know them really well and only have the nicest things to say about them. They’re of course awesome musicians, but they also have serious charisma on stage and when they perform they really know how to entertain their audience. Their shows are really light-hearted and they mix comedy in with their performance which I think is great. They’re the kind of performers you can’t help but smile while watching.
With 2Cellos and The Piano Guys in the same show, you’d have the classic rock, modern pop, and popular classical music all covered, so I would love to be a part of this tour to take care of the video game, film and anime genres. I think it would be so fun to have a show like this to showcase the diversity of these classical instruments and to cover so many different genres of music in a unique way.
I really love seeing great classically trained musicians who are professional and take what they’re doing seriously, but who don’t take themselves too seriously to have fun on stage and get a little crazy. Besides being a dream come true to share the stage with 2Cellos and The Piano Guys and to learn from them as performers, they also seem like they would be such a fun group to hang out with on the road and I can only imagine how great of an experience that would be!
