The huddle. We always huddle backstage or in front of Josh’s drums, wish one another a great show, remind ourselves to have fun and keep the energy up, and note things we’ve noticed on our way to the stage.
Backstage before a show, I always sing really awesome 2000s boy band hits to warm up before we go on. I also take a shot to loosen the goose. Josh likes to take some time to quiet his mind and get in the zone. And also post some pre-show tweets and Instagram pics on the band accounts.
We as a group typically find a buffet, or a Taco Bell, to go to before or after shows, too. It’s a disgusting habit. But it’s ours, and it’s become a tradition.
